ANNOUNCEMENTS – SEPTEMBER 5, 2010

- Baconton’s Annual Canned Food Drive began September 1st, and will run through the 30th. When you shop for your groceries, we would appreciate your picking up extra cans of food to help feed the hungry in Liberty County, via the Manna House. You may either place them in the lobby or give them to your deacon. Our goal is to donate 1,000 items of canned goods to the Manna House.

- The Ushers of Pleasant Grove AME Church will host a Revival, Friday, September 10th at 7:00 P.M. They will also celebrate their Anniversary on Sunday, September 12th at 3:00 P.M. Everyone is invited to attend.

- The Bethel A.M.E. Church Family will honor their Lead Musician, Sis. Oraetta Henderson, Saturday, September 11th at 5:00 P.M. Baconton’s Adult Choir is asked to render 2 selections.

- The BB Gospel Choir of St. Peters A.M.E. Church will celebrate their 17th Anniversary, Sunday, September 12th at 4:00 P.M. Baconton’s Male Chorus is asked to render 2 selections.

- Bethel A.M.E. Church will celebrate their 142nd Anniversary, September 14th – 16th at 7:30 P.M. Baconton’s Deacons are asked to serve on Tuesday, September 14th. Everyone is invited to attend.

- Baconton will honor our First Lady – Sis. Pamela Scott – Saturday, September 18th at 5:00 P.M. We will have dinner and a play entitled “The Church People’s Court.” Everyone is encouraged to attend. We would like to bless Sis. Scott with a hearty “Love Gift,” so if you cannot attend, the Pastoral Care Ministry would be happy to accept your donation.

- The 13th Anniversary of Pastor and Sis. Scott will culminate on Sunday, September 19th at 11:00 A.M. The Guest Preacher is Dr. Michael T. Bell of Peace Baptist Church, Washington, DC. Everyone is encouraged to attend this great celebration!

- Pastor Scott will meet with the men of Baconton, Wednesday, September 22nd, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., in the Conference Room to discuss the George Forman book. This will mark the birth of the Baconton’s Male Book Club.

REMINDER: Baconton’s Women’s Retreat, October 8th – 9th.
